The last day of 5th grade has finally arrived! It has been a wonderful school year and I will certainly miss these sweet kids. I am so thankful to have had the privilege of being their teacher this year. Tomorrow will be our last day together and we will celebrate with our 5th grade dance. Our day will end with the annual Walk of Honor. I would like to invite all parents to attend. We will walk through the halls beginning at 11:45 to say our final farewell to the teachers and students of Acworth. You might want to arrive around 11:30 or so and gather in the front lobby.

A reminder to parents that Wednesday, May 11 will be the 5th grade panoramic picture. If you are interested in purchasing the picture, please send payment on May 11 in the envelope that was sent home in yesterday's Thursday folder.

This has been an exciting week for the 5th graders at Acworth. The 5th grade picnic was so much fun. We had 2 students from our class win a free week of camp this summer through Acworth Parks and Recreation! The trip to Barber was exciting and enlightening too. I am so proud to see so much interest in the Fine Arts program that Barber has to offer.

Finally, I want to thank everyone for making Teacher Appreciation Week so special! Your kindness was so thoughtful and so generous! As I was bringing my gifts into the house this afternoon, my family just couldn't believe the outpouring of love...I think they were eyeing my candy to tell you the truth!
