Registration and Important News
2013-2014
Important Funding News:
Recently, USED released their latest projections for their FY14 budget. Included in that was their projection for 21st CCLC, which projects a $60 million reduction nationally from the previous year due primarily to sequestration. With this cut, it is estimated that Georgia will receive a reduction of more than $4.2 million, or 10.52%, compared to our FY13 allocation. This cut will affect GaDOE’s annual operating budget and, unfortunately, will affect every single subgrantee’s operating budget as well. All subgrantees, and GaDOE, will receive an FY14 allocation that reflects this 10.52% cut, provided they are approved by the State Board of Education.
The good news is that the Reach for the Stars Program has been approved for funding for this upcoming school year. Unfortunately, we were cut approximately $37,000. Due to this budget cut, we are unable to serve as many students as we have over the last two years. Please review our End of the Year report for specific information about our goals, achievements, and evaluation reports for the 2012-2013 year.
