Did you know that it's National Bat Week? As we explore writing informative texts, we will examine the interesting world of BATS. "Bats are amazing animals that are vital to the health of our environment and economy - eating tons of insects nightly, pollinating flowers, and spreading seeds that that grow new plants and even trees...Many of these insects are serious crop or forests pests, and others spread disease to humans or livestock. Every year bats save us billions of dollars in pest control by simply eating insects." Today, we viewed a portion of the exciting live broadcast, “Project Edubat – Education Taking Flight”. Ask your child to share the main idea and some interesting details!
