Sparkles Roller Rinks and Starlight Roller Rink are excited to partner with Georgia Public Broadcasting in their fight against childhood obesity. The five skating rinks are encouraging GPB staff, customers, and employees to get off the couch and start skating. We’re so serious about making a difference that we’re opening the rinks on Thursday nights beginning June 2 from 6:30 until 9:30 for free. That’s right; every Thursday night the admission charge is on us. We want to give people a chance to discover just how much fun a night at the rink can be. Also, it is an activity that the whole family can do together. Young and old alike can enjoy the benefits that skating has to offer. As you skate around the floor to music from your childhood as well as the most current favorites, you’ll be getting in better physical shape. And there’s nothing like a good time at the rink to take away the stress from the day.
There are five skating rinks participating in this program.
The Sparkles Rinks are located in Kennesaw, Hiram, Smyrna, and Lawrenceville. Check them out on the web at www.sparklesrollerrinks.com. You can also visit the Starlight Rink in Stockbridge. Starlight can be found on the web at www.starlightskatingcenter.com. Please don’t hesitate to contact any of the rinks or Diane Adams at 770-595-3003 for details.
