I would like to thank you for a great year with your child.  You have been very supportive.  I am so proud of the students.  They have accomplished a lot in fifth grade.  I know that they will be successful in Middle School.  Listed below are the happenings for the last two 1/2 days of school.

Wow! I cannot believe that we are in the last nine weeks of school.  However, the students have worked extremely hard this year.  Listed below are the dates of fifth grade activities in April.

This is the busiest time of the year for fifth grade. However, it is very exciting!  There is so much planned for our fifth grade students to make it a memorable year. I hope that you had a great Thanksgiving.  I enjoyed Thanksgiving with my family.  Wow! Welcome back from fall break with  your child! Your child continues to work hard and learn many new concepts and skills.  October is a very busy month.  Listed below are important dates and events to put on your calendar. Please contact Mrs.Foster or me, if you need further information about the events or dates.

October 5-8 - Iowa Testing

October 9th - Last day of the 1st grading period

October 9th - Writer's Notebook and Science Project due

October 19th - 22 - Conference Week

I would like to take the time to welcome you to a new school year at Acworth Elementary.  I am looking forward to working with you and your child. I enjoy teaching and exposing your child to new ideas and concepts.

Thank you to all of the parents who came out to "Meet & Greet" and Open House Night.  It was a pleasure meeting you. I hope that the packet distributed to you and the power-point was helpful.  If you have any other questions that were not answered during Open House Night, you can e-mail me.  I will respond within 24 hours.

Field Trip/Market Day

Parents,

Our fieldtrip is on Tuesday, February 17th.  Please send in the money and permission slip on Monday.  Also, Our class will sell their Market Day product on Tuesday, February 10th.  You can send in the tablecloth and sign on Monday.  I will set up for Market Day at the end of the day on Monday.
