Fernbank Museum of Natural History
Dear Parents,
We are very excited about an upcoming field trip to the Fernbank Museum of Natural History. Fernbank will "expose your child to a worlld of prehistoric creatures, cultural treasures, science interactives, exotic wildlife, ancient fossils and the largest dinosaurs ever discovered."
Your child must have a completed and signed parent permission form on file at the school prior to participating in this field trip. In addition, there is a $14.00 donation requested per student. All field trip donations must be submitted by Thursday, April 24, 2008. If sufficient funds are not obtained, the field trip will be cancelled.
We know you will want to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. Thank you for your support!

Parents, student will begin CRCT testing Wednesday, April 23, 2008. Please ensure that your child receives a good night rest each night prior to the test. In addition, your child should have a nutritious breakfast each morning. Encourge your child to do his/her best on the CRCT.

Internet Safety Parent Workshop
Dear Parents,
Are you unsure about which internet sites are safe for your child(ren)? Come join us on Wednesday, February 13th to hear Patti Agaston from Prevention/Intervention talk about how to keep our children safe on the internet. Acworth Elementary School is offering two (2) sessions so please select the session you will be attending and let your child's teacher know by Tuesday, February 12, 2008. A brignt orange flyer is being sent home by your child with containing the Internet Safety session information.
Please return this bright orange information flyer to the school no later than Tuesday, February 8th.
There is a 9:30am session scheduled and a 12noon session scheduled. Let us know which session you will attend.

Students are to complete the six (6) division problems they received today in class. Students are to show their work, check each problem and circle the quotient of each problem.
In addition, students should study their multiplication facts and read for twenty (20) minutes each evening.
