Congratulations to Grace!  She was the winner of the School Spelling Bee, and will go on to represent Acworth at the Cobb County Spelling Bee - good luck!

Next week is Human Growth and Development.  Boys and girls will separately have these classes 2 days during the week.

Our Holiday Party is Wednesday, December 21, 12:45 - 1:45.  The students have been working on informational writing where they are writing the recipe for a family favorite.  Then everyone will bring their dish to share at the party.  We are looking forward to seeing everyone's favorites!

Thank you to everyone for their generosity in sending in cookies and cards for our military family members!  Mrs. Wheeler will be packaging and shipping everything this weekend.

Lots of information went home in Thursday folders this week - make sure to look through everything and return anything that needs to be signed or returned.

We are going to see the Atlanta Symphony next Wednesday at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center.  We have spoken with the children about dressing nicely for this event.  They will also receive a brochure next week to help them preview what we will be seeing and hearing and learning.  Make sure to ask them about the performance!

We have heard several of you are making cookies for our military care packages!  Please send them in next Friday, December 9.  Thank you for your generosity!

The Giving Tree is now up and ready for donations.
